or 1845 - The January 29, 1845, issue of the Onondaga Standard reported the death of Benjamin Depuy who died at Lysander (Cold Spring Settlement) on the 19th at age 79 years. Mr. Depuy was one of the first settlers in the town. [Riverside Cemetery records state that he died 1842 at the age of 90]

If you haven't been aware of this, the Brodhead Family Association has put together an 11-volume (so far) "Depuy Family History by Jean M. Smith, Ruth Heidgerd, and Ann Goodwill. The early volumes are fairly well documented, but then they just compile family histories submitted to them by individuals.

I have the will of Benjamin if you need a copy.
