Hello, i just found your blog on the DePue family and i am a descendant of Benjamin DePut 1764-1851....in doing research via Ancestry.com there are many repeated names and the dates and lines get confusing. I am looking for Benjamin's relationship back to Nicholas DePue of Ft DePue in Shawnee....Appreciate your assistance.
Benjamin Depuy 1764-1845 married Arriaantia Van Auken. He is the son of Benjamin Depuy and Elizabeth Swarthout. Benjamin 1728-1806/07 is the son of Moses Depuy Jr. and Margrietje Schoonmaker. Moses is the son of Moses Sr. The assumed Nicolaes Dupuy, born 1682 and died in 1761 in Lower Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania married Wyntje Roosa.Nicolaes was the son of Moses Depuis Sr. and Maria Wyncoop. Nicolaes 1682 was brother to my Moses of my line. Nicolaes 1682 was uncle to my Benjamin Depuy (Elizabeth Swarthout) Nicolaes was great uncle to my Benjamin Jr (Arriaantia Van Auken) (the one you ask about)
